Scope Construction’s affordable housing scheme in Chellaston for NCHA in partnership with architects Pelham and civil and structural engineers is taking shape.

The eight EPC A rated bungalows, designed and built by Scope Construction, are progressing at pace with roofing works and PV installation nearing completion and first fix mechanical, electrical and joinery completed in 6 of the properties. Plastering starts next week.

The focus of the design is to make these new homes energy efficient. The homes are super insulated, gas-free and fitted with air-source heat pumps, PV solar panels and EV charging points, as well as sustainable drainage solutions. Four homes will be available for shared ownership and the remaining four will be let at a social rent by South Derbyshire District Council.   We look forward to handing over this scheme in the new year.
