Residential Area - the site is located in a residential area, with adjacent local authority residents and a care home. Management of the site required a considerate approach, regular community liaison and communication with neighbouring residents and a robust traffic management plan
First client new build - the client trusted Scope Construction to deliver the council’s first new build children’s home for four decades
Sustainable and energy efficient design - highly insulated building with 200mm cavities, litecast structurally insulated flooring, underfloor heating, air source heat pumps, SUDS and EV Charging. EPC A Rated.
Future adaptability built in - the scheme has been designed to be easily converted into 4 affordable homes if required
Social Value - during the delivery of this project Scope invited 10 care leavers to a site visit/tool box talk and provided 6 of them with work experience with the potential of future employment
Considerate Constructors - the site was registered for CCS achieving Very Good Level. The site is in the centre of a residential area with neighbours in close proximity and restricted deliveries. Requiring good communication with local residents.
